Use of Visual Aids in Court

I represented a probationer driver (within 2 years of passing his test) at Redhill Magistrate’ Court. He was charged with failing to stop and failing to report an accident. The two charges could attract up to 10 penalty points; being a probationer driver he would lose his licence if he received 6 or more points. By my gentle persuasion and mitigation he received 5 penalty points and was able to keep his licence! This particular client had very significant mitigation which helped enormously.
One factor that influenced the court was the use of one of my ‘Casecharts’. During my mitigation, I produced a chart of a chronologically complex sequence which the bench then took with them when they deliberated. The chart showed all the facts in sequence and relevant to each other.
This level of service is not as expensive as you may think. The ‘Casechart’ service comes at no extra cost to clients that I represent.
